Hello, I'm delighted that you decided to come along with me to historic downtown Troy, New York. I was surfing the net last week on another rainy day and went onto Craigs List and looked up "antiques" and then the words said, Vintage Chic! So I clicked on the logo and off it took me to this lovely Shabby and Chic style store. Several days later which happened to be quite beautiful I might add, I called and emailed the owner Donna and she said she'd love to have me come down to meet her and visit her store. Let me tell you, I was in hog heaven and Donna and my husband and I quickly hit it off. I also asked her if she would allow me to take pictures of her and her store and that I would put it on my blog. I hope you like what you see. I did come away with a few little somethings, however I'm on a tight budget just like everyone else these days. Her website link is:
Such a sweetheart, Donna Pochaski owner of Vintage Chic. Thank you so much for being so nice and helpful. I love all the little things I bought and I will definately be back!
Isn't this wrought iron daisy three-piece bistro set the cutest? I bet Kim Mc Cole from Daisy Cottage would love this...
River Street is a shopping dream for all antiquers, if you should ever come to upstate New York, make sure you make a bee line to Troy!
Enjoy the rest of your week and my next post will have pics of my trip up north to the Adirondack Mountains and car trip that was so much fun and breathtaking.
Toodles,
Steph

I loved all of the photos of the vintage chic shop. I would be in heaven browsing in such a lovely shop filled with beautiful things that have had past lives. Do you ever wonder when you find a treasure who it once belonged to and the story behind it? When I was growing up, I always asked my great-grandmother and grandmother about all of their belongings; where it came from, when the got it, was it a present, etc... I laugh thinking how I worried those ladies, but I'm the historian of the family. Thanks for sharing your visit to Troy. I have a package to send you, but I'm looking for one more thing to include. I hope you and your family are enjoying the last days of Summer. You are such a doll and your friendship has helped me feel more positive during a very tough time.

Hi Susi girl,
Sooooo happy you stopped in for a visit. You blow my mind because the more I talk to you the more I realize how much more we have in common. I've always been a very curious person about everything, especially the stories behind my heritage, my family member's I've never known, and of course antiques! I find the stories facsinating just like you! Unfortunately, I live over 3,000 miles away from the majority of my family. That's why staying connected thru facebook and my blog has really helped keep us "connected". Well, now some sad news I have to share with you. My daughter Tara leaves for college the morning after tomorrow. My heart is braking and I'm going to be a mess for the rest of the week. But, I keep remembering what a great job Jim and I have done and will continue to do and what a blessing she is. I'm very happy for her and proud, but I also want to keep her longer too. Well friend, I better go and hug my daughter some more, wish me luck ok? Take good care of yourself and thanks again for all your comments, it always makes me feel better. Especially because they're from you!
XO times infinity,
~ Steph
