October 26th, 1990, Jim and I eloped in South Lake Tahoe for $ 40.oo and we are still married and still very much in love. My dress was bought at Mervyn's department Store that cost me around fifty dollars, my heels I borrowed from my sister, and the bouquet was given to me from my sis as well. We have two beautiful daughter's, one dog, two cats and a cozy casa with a white picket fence and rose bushes all around the yard. Jim and I have really have " a wonderful life" and have much to be blessed with. I think about all the adventures, all the trips, milestones, ups, downs and in-betweens that we've lived through and I wouldn't trade it for the world! For those of you who don't know, I am a very solitary person, who would much rather spend my time with myself or with children, ( because children are who they are), they haven't learned how to manipulate others yet... I would much rather be in my garden, listen to natures songs, listen to the old classics like Tony Bennett, cook, bake, paint, sew, decorate, go antiquing, or just go for a walk in the woods or my own backyard for that matter! I love and value my solitude, probably because of my upbringing and it's ok. It works for me, you know what I mean? And Jim is definately my polar opposite and brings out the best in me, even sometimes when he doesn't tell me "feel good" comments. For those of you who have made it to 19 years of marriage, you understand where I'm coming from! Anyway, I'm writing this after Jim and I just finished our beautiful dinner by candlelight, listening to Christmas music and purely living in the moment. just perfection...
Our two beautiful daughter's, Tara and Tasha, they are the best part of who we are, and our legacy will live on through them.
