Now that Turkey weekend is over with, we can try to shed the 2 to 3 lbs we all pack on, hit the gym and let the decorating, tree picking, baking, cooking, crafting, begin! I had a wonderful time with the family once again and we all managed to get along with just a little bit of drama! Now what would be a holiday without a little smidge of drama? Aside from the over-eating, we did manage to squeeze in some hiking, card playing, but best of all was spending time with my daughter's! Which was indeed the best part...
Now that we are in full swing for Christmas and being the old fashioned girl that I'm proud to be, I thought I'd insert bits of video from some of my favorite old and newer movies, such as the movie above called " The Bishop's Wife " starring Cary Grant, David Niven, and Loretta Young. Make yourself some coffee or tea and a cookie or two, grab some tissue because these scenes always seem to bring me to tears. I will be posting a new video at least once a week from now until Christmas week. Hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving holiday!
P.S. What are some of your favorite old fashioned holiday movies?
I also thought I'd add the entire words to this very special and comforting prayer below.
~ The Lord Is My Shepard~ Psalm 23
The Lord Is my shepard I shall not want. He maketh me lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the path's of righteousness for his names sake. Yea, though I walk the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for though art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou annointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
