This is what us die hard gardeners LIVE FOR !
As you step out my back patio door, you'll walk almost straight back about 30 feet, turn the corner, your eyes and heart start to feel " rose exhileration" because these are my old reliable rosa rugogas. My HEART just melts like butter......
I'm SERIOUSLY IN ROSE LOVE..... Thank you Jesus, that I can be the shepardess of your divine creations. I am BLESSED beyond measure.
My English roses were beginning their lovely and graceful unfurling....
I think I rather fancy my outdoor clothesline next to the mighty rugosas. My Jim, I work him to death seems like. Yes girl's, I appreciate him like crazy !!!!!
Just takes my breath away everytime..... Blessed....
Sideview of the front of my casa. From left to right are double pink knockout roses, Baby Blanket Tree rose, and Pee Gee Hydrangeas.
Ten yea rold Jackson and Perkins rose tree. LOVE this so much. At one time I had a pair, then two years ago,one died. Looked like an animal chewed the trunk all up. So bummed..... Those nasty little varments !!!!
David Austin's ~ Huntington Rose~
The English boxwood seems to be right at home next to the English beauties....
Newly planted catmint in front of my second season Rose Of Sharon
On the west side of my casa, I have Constance Spry, and a climbing rose bush that has been here since the day we moved here over ten years ago. Next to the climbers, I have knockout roses.
Double pink knockouts
Constance Spry, this is spectacular! Wish I could have a better shot for you but we had so much rain in mid spring that it didn't show as it usually does.
This is the unknown climber that climbed right up to my bedroom window this year!
As Laura Venosa Dellaporta once said, " Rapunzel " She is one of the nicest and most down to earth ladie's I've had the pleasure of befriending on Instagram. Love you Laura !
As you continue down the side of climbing rose way, you a good glimpse of my canopy on the left. Yes, good ole Jimmy built it for me too. Then you see my other English roses on the right next to my white picket fence.
More young English roses along the fence in the backyard
Mr. James Galway~ I LOVE YOU !!!!!
Oh how I LOVe thee.... Jim says he needs to build a little mini sitting trellis for me under this. What do you think ? Are we all in favor of this idea ?
The white roses are " Winchester Cathedral". Very beautiful, but do not make a good cutting rose for indoor enjoyment. That's where the Tea roses are worth the money you spend.
A close up of Mr. James Galway
Yes, we've made it to my back patio door ! This is my massive and oh so disease resistant and beautiful " Carefree Delight "!!! This rosebush just keeps growing and growing ! Love it so much !!!!!
Next to my Carefree Delight are two " Nikko Blues"
This is the other side cascading over my fence facing the neighbors and my driveway.
I cut some of my roses and layed them on this country farm table just to play around !
Ok all, I know you've seen alot of pics. But I I really hope you got a good glimpse into what I LIVE for all winter long!!!! One more pic, til the next time..
When I saw these babybreath flowers, I swooned !!!! They're so incredible !!! I think they were overdyed... Must try that on some white ones!!!
