The amazing Arno River on The Pontevechio in Florence, Italy
After climbing abou 9 flights of stairs, we made it to Tasha's apartment!!!!! Yes, Jim and I were totally winded when we got walked inside !! Tasha is in fabulous shape as you can imagine with legs of steel !!!!
An antique Murano glass chandelier that was huge !!!! My pictures on my phone don't do justice to the actual size !!
A gorgeous large antique gilt mirror that I wanted to take home.....
This is Tasha's grand and beyond dreamy shabby chic bedroom!!!!!! Yes, I was in Italian florentine heaven !!!!!! She has florentine nesting tables, a florentine tall chest, a florentine bookcase, a venetian three drawer chest, and lastly a venetian handpainted armoire that I was swooning over.......... Mere words cannot describe how stunning this grand piece is. I tried to set up a meeting with Tasha's landlord to see if I could give him an offer he couldn't refuse, but all these antique pieces have been in his family for many generations and aren't for sale !!!! I know, boo hoo for me. Oh well, someday something like this will fall into my lap, I just need to be real patient!!
This is the amazing Cathedral De Santa Maria Del Fiori in Florence, Italy
This unbelievably amazing statue captivated my soul,,,,,,
I can't even begin to describe all the workmanship the Italian people put into their fine craft! It just leaves you in awe !
Tasha and Jim in downtown Florence. I thought i'd snap an unknowing picture as Jim was holding the bouquet of lavender roses while Tash helped adjust the backpack. So cute !
Tasha took this romantic picture of Jim and I next to the Arno River on the Pontevechio, Florence, Italy.
Sightseeing around Florence. You saw beautiful balconies lined with windowboxes of trailing plants almost everywhere.....
Art, religion, and complete beauty everywhere you looked.....
Even their lanterns are pieces of art !
I'm ending this blog post with the actual floor of the one of the Seven Wonders Of The World....... The great " Colloseum in Rome, Italy !!!!!
Much more to come my friends, I promise !
Thanks so much my friends for visiting me and I hope you loved just the beginning of my trip to Italy.
