This vintage nightstand I've had for many years. It use to be in my daughter's bedroom. But, you know me, I'm always up for change! I feel like that side of my livingroom is finally complete now. Also, that antique oil on canvas was an ebay find from the seller Winter garden. I've bought several things from Denise Cote and she is a real kind lady and very professional.
Can you tell how much I LOVE this romantic roses painting ?
There's nothing more enjoyable for me than sipping on a fresh brew of coffee, sitting down in my cozy chair, and reading a romantic themed magazine on a Saturday morning ( while listening to Tony Bennett or Enya). The books I read over the weekend were Jo- Anne Coletti's stunningly beautiful books. They 're called, The Feminine Home and The Feminine Home " Where The Heart Is". These books are abundant with inspirational poems, bible verses, and heavenly pictures of many talented women's homes and gardens. I highly recommend her books!!!!
Here's what the Jo-Anne's magazines look like up close. Aren't they so beautiful? Also, I bought SSC new sheetset, and I LOVE IT !!!!! Recommend that too....
This beautiful antique wrought iron cross I bought from the lovely Janet Coon of Shabbyfufu.com. This beauty originated from the beautiful country France. One day I will travel to lovely France! Especially since my daughter will be going to school in Florence, Italy next Fall! So proud of my girl !!!!
Is there anything more lovely than a vintage ruffled prom dress, a parasol, and a handmade flower corsage, on a ornately wooden carved couch ? I could keep look at that all day long..... Just dream away....
Now, the slipcover makeover.....
This vintage baby blue roses seersucker ruffled coverlet I've had for years as well. Since spring is right around the corner and I'm always looking to work on a project and save money I decided to make some pretties out of this flawless and super soft fabric.
Voila ! Here are my new spring themed slipcovers I sewed! This was the first time making slipcovers for my Darcy french chairs. I learned alot, and I think i will make more!!!!! Who knows.... I may even make them and sell them in my etsy shop..... I'll keep you posted!
This is a view from my stairs, one of my favorite places to take pictures of my farm table Jim built for me last November. I'm trying to convince him to make more so we can sell a couple at our next yard sale!!!!!
A close up of the ties I sewed for them as well. I really am so excited and very pleased with how nice they came out. I hope that doesn't sound like I'm bragging because I don't mean to. It's just that this was my first time making chair slips!!!!
Spring flowers are so lovely, and accompany the Darcy chairs just perfectly!
I'm ALWAYS thankful for being so incredibly BLESSED...
A vintage millinery veil I made recently. Inspired by Rachel Pallas of Shabbyfrenchforme. Rachel is a doll, and I bought a lovely veil of her's. It's making it's way to my home right now. So excited to get it and take many pictures of it for you all.
Hope you enjoyed your visit to my little world! I'm so eager to say goodbye to winter's slumber and reawaken to the birdies singing their familiar spring songs!!!! Yes, my friends, spring is in the air and I can't wait to get digging in my gardens to do begin winter's clean up!
Also, I hope you all know I had been having computer issues for a few weeks and I am sorry for not getting back to you. Great news now, looks like my computer problems are over thanks to my daughter suggesting Mozilla and a big thank you goes to my BFF, Laurie Shoemaker of Heavens Walk. You are the BEST my dear!!!! XO
Have a lovely week,
~ Steph
